Assembly workspace

Place reusable automation components, add mates, and produce a first BOM.

For: Automation and project engineers

Workflow

  1. Switch to Assembly and add a profile, plate, rail, motor, sensor, or other catalog part.
  2. Adjust component parameters and place the component on the assembly root.
  3. Add fixed, coincident, concentric, distance, angle, or parallel mates.
  4. Review the BOM and share a read-only view when the concept is ready.

Good to know

  • Catalog geometry is vendor-neutral and intended for concept design.
  • Mates describe the design intent; they are not a safety validation.
